Cashless
Graspop Metal Meeting is cashless again this year. No more physical tokens, just Skullies (our digital currency) on the tag of your wristband or your Cashless Card. These Skullies pay for food and drink in the festival arena, at our campsites (Boneyard, The Crypt and Inferno), and in Metal Town.
In presale (*) 1 Skully is €3.50. Skullies are on presale from Thursday 13 March 2025 to 11.59 pm on 15 June 2025. As from 16 June 2025 you can still upload Skullies to your account but at €3.80 per Skully.
As from 10 am on Thursday 26 June you can request a refund for any leftover Skullies. Use your ticket code or the code at the back of your tag or Cashless Card.
Ticket code: To link your account you need the 9 characters under the QR code at the bottom of your ticket. (9 characters between ** ; please note that a space is also regarded as a character).
ATTENTION: An account is linked to a ticket. When you resell your ticket, you’re not only giving the buyer access to your account but also to any purchased Skullies. You can avoid this by using Ticketmaster’s resale platform.
There are several ways to upload Skullies:
- Via your Cashless account
- Via the GMM app
- By scanning the QR code on the tag of your wristband or on the Cashless Card.
- At the top-up stations in the festival arena and at Campsites Boneyard, Inferno and Metal Town
- At the manned booths in the festival arena
Want to check your Skullies balance? You can also do this via your account, in the GMM app and at any Cashless top-up station. After every transaction the (bar) staff will show you how many Skullies are left on your tag or Cashless Card.
POOL SKULLIES?
Want to pool Skullies with friends? A Cashless Card is the perfect solution. At the manned booths you can collect a Cashless Card you and your friends can use to upload Skullies. This card can be linked to a single online account and used to check the balance or upload Skullies.
Attention: Skullies cannot be transferred to a different tag or Cashless Card.
refund
Leftover Skullies after the festival? Then you can get a refund!
As from Thursday 26 June a refund form will be available online to request a refund for your remaining Skullies. Every refund is subject to an administrative charge of €3.50.
The refund period runs from Thursday 26 June until Thursday 10 July. After this date no more refunds can be requested. Refunds are carried out within 30 days after the refund request.
(*) Terms & conditions of the promotion: this offer is valid from 17 March 2025 to 15 June 2025. A minimum top-up of 20 Skullies is required to be eligible. For every purchase increment of 10 Skullies, the customer receives 9.21 Skullies and 0.79 Free Skullies. A maximum of 300 Skullies can be purchased per account. The awarded Free Skullies are non-refundable. Graspop Metal Meeting reserves the right to modify the terms of the promotion or terminate it at any time.
FAQ
Cashless? Is that safe?
Yes. Your festival wristband or Cashless Card is protected by encryption, making it impossible to copy info or steal the balance.
I created an account last year. Can I use that same account for this year’s edition and beyond?
Yes, just use last year’s log-in data. For the upcoming edition link the code on your new festival ticket.
Can I use leftover Skullies from this year for future editions?
No. Skullies are only valid for a single edition. This means Skullies from 2024 are not valid in 2025. Likewise, this year’s Skullies cannot be used in 2026. However, you can request a refund for this year’s leftover Skullies.
Where do I collect my festival wristband? Where can I get a Cashless Card?
You can exchange your festival ticket for a festival wristband at the main entrance, at every festival campsite or at the VIP entrance. Collect your Cashless Card from one of the manned booths. in the festival arena, in Metal Plaza and at Campsite Boneyard.
Do Skullies pay for everything?
The food and drink stands, food trucks, campsite shops and bathing facilities at Campsites Boneyard and The Crypt only accept the Skullies on your festival tag or Cashless Card. At the merchandise stands, the Festival Fair and the Metal Market you can only pay with cash or plastic.
What if I lose my festival wristband?
Losing your festival wristband is like losing your wallet or ticket. Make sure your festival wristband is securely fastened.
Don’t panic if you’ve lost your wristband or had it stolen. Go to the Cashless Helpdesk at the festival entrance. The staff there will be happy to assist you. If you created an account our team can recover the remaining Skullies.
How do I create an account?
You can create your account as from 13 March. Before the festival you do this by entering your ticket number; during the festival you can use the code at the back of your festival tag.
Problems during the festival?
Members of our Cashless team are always on hand:
- our staff are easily recognisable from their blue vests and will be happy to help you at the top-up stations.
- at the manned booths there’s an information point where you can ask all your questions: in the festival arena, in Metal Plaza or at Campsite Boneyard.
- the Cashless Helpdesk is situated right next to the festival entrance.
Problems before or after the festival?
Before and after the festival you can submit all your questions and/or remarks at cashless@graspop.com.
Want to check your balance?
There are several ways to check how many Skullies you have left on your festival wristband or Cashless Card.
- You can do this online on your Cashless account, via the GMM app or at any of the manned booths or top-up stations at the festival. Your balance is instantly displayed.
- When a transaction is completed, the remaining number of Skullies is displayed so you can make sure you haven’t been over or undercharged.
Can I link two festival wristbands to a single account?
Within one account you can create multiple Wallets but only one tag or Cashless Card can be linked to every Wallet. Skullies must be uploaded separately to every individual wallet.
Can I use last year’s Cashless Card during this year’s edition?
No, this is not possible. Cashless Cards can only be used for one edition.
What personal data does the tag on my wristband contain?
The tag on your wristband does not store any personal data and it is not linked to your personal data. This is also the case when you upload Skullies offline (at the manned booths and top-up stations on the festival grounds). If you decide to link the tag to an online account then certain data, such as your email address, is stored to be able to complete the transactions.
I want to resell my ticket, but I have already loaded Skullies, what should I do?
Every account is linked to a ticket so if you resell your ticket you’re also giving the buyer access to your account. This means that reselling your ticket has consequences for any Skullies you’ve purchased. Contact cashless@graspop.com for more details.
What are the costs of food and drinks at GMM? Then I can estimate how many Skullies I want to purchase in advance.
Our full price list is in the works and will be posted when ready. An initial list for food and drink is available here. This list is updated on a regular basis.
Why is a refund fee being charged?
The refund fee is €3.50. Every refund has to be checked and that requires handling. These and other service-related costs are included in the refund fee.
Of course, if you’ve used up all Skullies on your tag or card then you don’t need a refund.
Tip : It is pretty easy to end your festival with balance 0 so you don’t have to request a refund. Suppose: you still have 0.3 Skullies available. Use the QR code or app, or stop by a manned booth to buy an additional 0.7 Skully, then use that final Skully to buy a drink, for instance. Sometimes it’s that simple!
