The Crypt
New in 2025: The Crypt The Crypt is a 1.3 km walk from the festival arena and is perfect for festival-goers who still want to camp out but like quieter nights.
A ticket for The Crypt costs €35 per person.
Opening hours
The Crypt is open round the clock between 3 p.m. on Wednesday and noon on Monday. On Wednesday only festival-goers with a combi ticket and a camping ticket for The Crypt have access. On Wednesday food and drink are available at the campsite.
facilities
- The Crypt is equipped with a sizable sanitary block. Use of the toilets and washbasins is free, as is the (potable) tap water. A shower will set you back 1 Skully.
- Do not to leave any valuables behind in your tent. Store them in a locker.
- Food and drink are also available on Wednesday.
- The Crypt has its own car park within walking distance from the campsite. Parking vouchers can be purchased in the run-up to the festival. You will receive an email from Ticketmaster containing a link.
Dos and don'ts
Consult the house rules to know what is allowed at The Crypt and what isn’t. In a nutshell:
Do not bring: anything on wheels wider than 85cm – dry ice – drugs – torches – stoves – gas burners – gas installations – sound systems – large BBQs – charcoal BBQs – disposable BBQs – bicycle pumps – flyers – glass – candles – pets (exc. guide and assistance dogs) – (pocket) knives & switchblades – party tents larger than 3 x 3 m – sharp objects – power generators – beer dispensers – fireworks – fire bowls/baskets – weapons (duh!) - shovels - pliers - drills - saws - screwdrivers - bongs - water pipes.
You can bring: all types of hand trucks & shopping trolleys up to 85 cm wide - parasols - gazebos/party tents up to 3 m x 3 m. Check here which cartridges for camping burners are allowed.
safety & security
- Please note you may be frisked at the entrance and we may want to search your bags or backpack. You have the right to refuse but in that case you will not be allowed to enter the festival arena.
- The campsite has fire lanes that must remain clear at all times. Tents found blocking the fire lanes will be removed instantly by campsite staff.
You’ll find a Red Cross station at the reception desk. Please note it is only manned in the morning.

Do I have access to The Crypt with a one-day wristband?
A Crypt camping ticket gives access to campsite The Crypt.

Can I book a specific spot at The Crypt in advance?
Unfortunately not. The ‘first come first served’ principle applies: early birds will get to claim the best spots. Once the campsite is full, it’s full.
I’ll be the last of our group to arrive. Can I still pitch my tent next to theirs?
Only if there’s room for your tent and if you have a valid Crypt camping ticket/wristband.
Can I bring a wheelbarrow/shopping cart/hand truck?
Yes, as long as it’s not wider than 85 cm.
Can I bring my motorhome, caravan, car, motorbike, ... to The Crypt?
No, only tents are allowed. Motorhomes and (folding) caravans are welcome in Metal Town, or at one of the private campsites in the Dessel area.
What is the maximum tent size?
There are no limits, really, just as long as you can transport it from the car park to the Boneyard yourselves and the tent is used to maximum capacity.
Can we erect a party tent?
Yep, as long as it’s not larger than 3 x 3 m. Parasols are also allowed.
How much alcohol and/or soft drinks can I bring?
24 cans (33cl) per person. That’s 792cl or sixteen 50cl cans.
Can we have a BBQ at campsite The Crypt?
Only small camping stoves are allowed (click here). Barbecues and open fires of any kind are strictly prohibited. In case of extreme temperatures the fire service may also ban the small camping stoves for safety reasons.
