Marketed as a super group because their ranks included members from Divine Heresy, God Forbid, Devildriver and In This Moment, Bad Wolves got off to a flying start with their debut ‘Disobey’ (2018), a strong statement that included unexpected hit single. Their cover of the Cranberries hit ‘Zombie’ went viral in the wake of Dolores O’Riordan’s death shortly before the album’s release. The following year they made their GMM debut, kicking off proceedings on Main Stage 1 on GMM Saturday. In 2021, Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz was recruited as the new throat and his vocal range has opened up even greater possibilities for the band. Until then their work offered a finely balanced mix of a heavy sound and sentimental overtones, as illustrated once again on ‘Dear Monsters’ (2021). Their last full-length to date is 2023’s ‘Die About It’, an album characterised by a more experimental approach: hard rock with metal, pop and jazz influences - and occasionally other genres. #GMM25
